This technical report describes the definitions, classification, and tolerance of skew in parallel optical interconnect systems. Examples are given to illustrate the skew design method for allocating skew in the interconnect system. Annex A provides additional information on system-skew measurement. NOTE Detailed definitions and a method of measuring the skew in optical fibre cables are beyond the scope of this document. They may be described in another IEC document.
